1. Introduction
Gallatin, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website gailatin.com (the "Service"). The Company is an AI-powered route optimization and dispatch platform serving enterprise freight operators and humanitarian aid organizations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Service, how we use it to operate the Gallatin dispatch platform, and the choices available to you.
The Company is based at 220 N Green Street, Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60607 and can be reached at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Because the Gallatin platform handles logistics coordination data for both commercial freight operations and humanitarian relief deployments, we are deliberate about the categories of information we collect. Information you submit directly includes:
- Contact details (name, work email, phone) when you fill out a demo request, contact form, or subscribe to our Dispatch journal;
- Company and operational context you choose to share (organization name, role, logistics network type, whether your use case is commercial freight or humanitarian relief);
- Route, inventory, and fleet data you submit or connect through the Gallatin platform when using the Service as a registered customer;
- The content of messages, support requests, or inquiry emails you send to us.
Gallatin does not use route or logistics data submitted by customers to train our AI models without explicit written consent from the submitting organization.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit gailatin.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:
- IP address and approximate location (city or region level);
- Browser type, operating system, device class;
- Pages visited, referring URLs, time on page;
- Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy).
2.3 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data
gailatin.com is a business-to-business platform not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
3. How We Use Information
Gallatin operates two distinct customer segments: commercial freight carriers and distribution operators, and humanitarian logistics organizations including NGOs and disaster-response coordinators. The information we collect serves the following purposes across both segments:
- Respond to demo requests, inquiries, and provide information about the Gallatin platform;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the route optimization engine and dispatch interface;
- Process logistics data submitted by customers to generate optimized routes, coordinate inventory across depots and field locations, and support crisis escalation mode during active relief deployments;
- Send Service updates, product announcements, and (with your consent where required) Dispatch journal issues and marketing communications;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access to the platform;
- Comply with applicable legal and contractual obligations.
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.
4. Sharing of Information
Gallatin shares personal information only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling) under contractual confidentiality terms that restrict their use of data to providing those services;
- Authorized partner organizations in the context of humanitarian logistics deployments, where data sharing is required for coordinated relief operations and is governed by the applicable customer agreement;
- Authorities, when required by law, regulation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others;
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, maintain session state for logged-in platform users, remember preferences, and measure aggregate usage of the marketing site. For details and choices, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Logistics operations data processed through the platform is retained per the terms of the applicable customer service agreement. Marketing-list contacts who have not engaged with communications are purged after 24 months. Server access logs are retained 90 days, then aggregated. Demo inquiry records are retained for 18 months after last contact.
7. Security
The Gallatin platform processes time-sensitive logistics data for freight and relief operations. We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect that information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted databases, restricted-access controls, and audit logging. Access to customer operations data is limited to personnel who require it to provide the Service. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, and the ability to limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. The Company will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
