About Gallatin

Built where freight operations and crisis logistics intersect

Gallatin was founded in Chicago in 2023 by a team that had seen the same routing problem from two angles: the daily inefficiency of commercial dispatch, and the life-or-death stakes of humanitarian logistics. We built one engine that handles both.

Logistics that cannot fail deserves infrastructure built to match

The routing problem at the core of commercial freight and humanitarian relief is structurally the same: a set of delivery locations, a set of vehicles, a set of constraints, and a clock. The difference is what happens when something goes wrong.

In commercial freight, failure means a missed delivery window, an angry customer, and a credit note. In humanitarian logistics, failure means aid that does not arrive at a shelter in the first 72 hours after a disaster. We believe the same AI infrastructure should serve both missions, and that building for the harder case makes the technology better for both.

Gallatin is headquartered in Chicago, a city whose history is inseparable from the movement of goods. We chose to build here intentionally.

Precision under pressure

We optimize for the moments when getting the answer right matters most, not just when conditions are ideal.

Dual-mission design

Every feature we build is evaluated against both use cases. A routing improvement that only works in commercial conditions does not ship.

Infrastructure, not interface

We focus on the quality of the dispatch decisions, not the visual complexity of the dashboard. The right route, delivered to your existing systems.

The people behind the dispatch engine

Woody Glier

Woody Glier

Co-founder and CEO

Woody spent years building tools for time-critical logistics operations, working through the parts of dispatch where manual re-planning consumes most of a coordinator's day. That focus on the high-stakes decision layer is what Gallatin's engine is designed around: automate the route math so dispatchers can focus on the calls that require judgment.

Sofia Reinholt

Sofia Reinholt

Co-founder and CTO

Sofia leads Gallatin's engineering and AI research. She came to logistics optimization from a background in applied algorithms at a transportation analytics company, where she worked on vehicle routing problems at fleet scale. She designed the dual-mode architecture that lets one engine serve both commercial and crisis logistics.

Marcus Abara

Marcus Abara

Head of Relief Operations

Marcus joined Gallatin after coordinating field logistics for humanitarian responses across multiple continents. He bridges the gap between the technical capabilities of the dispatch engine and the operational realities of aid delivery, and leads all partnerships with NGO and relief organizations.

Angel-backed, building deliberately

Gallatin raised $250K in angel funding in 2026 from operators and investors with direct experience in logistics technology and humanitarian aid programs. We are building the product and customer base at a pace that lets us get the dispatch decisions right before scaling the go-to-market.

Our investors chose Gallatin because the dual-mission model creates a structural advantage: humanitarian operations serve as a real-world stress test that no commercial simulation replicates, making the engine better for both customer types.
